Treely, Madly, Deeply: A Recap Before the Recaps

Hive, after much alluding and teasing, I am finally here to bring you the Palm Tree recaps. Taking a page from Mrs. Gloves' book, I figured it might be nice to refresh some memories before we delve into the wedding goodies - since it's been almost five months since I first posted here on the 'Bee.

The Palm Trees dancing to The Time Warp a la Music on Demand last summer.
The Palm Trees are childhood enemies turned high school sweethearts turned college breakers turned big-eyed, lovey-dovey fiancee's turned newlyweds. Phew.

I shared my Say Yes to the Dress moment with my wonderful best friends/bridesmaids, who experienced their own SYTTD moment after hours of climbing in and out of dresses.

Our very first wedding decision, however, was in early January when we booked our venue. Shortly after that came our photographers, whom we are STILL in love with, to this day. I shared quite a freakin' bit about our Pittsburgh-themed engagement pictures, including a 'Do's and Don't's list, a picture inspiration post (sidenote: I think the reality matched the dreams pretty closely in this case - score!) and how I tied in my love for big, giant hair (I took it seriously, you guys).

I've shared things from every end of the spectrum with the Hive: the personal, such as my dealings with the Hairy, Scary, Monster as well as what it was like to plan a wedding with little-to-no parental involvement; the paper standards, like our Save-the-Date and Invitation processes; as well as the not-so-personal, like our registry, my wedding shoes and our trolley.

It was a big priority for me to make sure our wedding really reflected us. Our wedding colors were our birthstones, our Flower Girls were two girls I've babysat/nannied since college (and their mom made their adorable outfits!), my cousin (who was also a bridesmaid) married us and we found a style of planning that really worked, despite our different personalities.

After a year and a half of planning, Mr. Palm Tree and I spent ten days in beautiful Negril, Jamaica at Couples Negril, which we both HIGHLY recommend. I delved into quite a bit of detail about our activities, as well as our food, because both were equally phenomenal.

Looking back, I cannot remember a time during which I had simultaneously had the most fun (and not just because my girls threw me an a-maz-ing shower and bachelorette party), was the most stressed out, felt the most loved and, eventually, so incredibly accomplished.

And now, I get to share everything about the day with you all and I could not be more excited. I've waited a long time to do this and it's something I've always looked forward to as a part of my role as a blogger Bee. So, FINALLY, let the Palm Tree recaps commence!

As always, don't be jelly of my MSPaint skillz. ;)
